If you are highly exposed to sunlight and you spend most of your time outdoors, then you are more prone to sunburn than others. The body part which is more exposed to sunlight becomes red, small blisters appear in that area. Sunburn sometimes leads to cancer as well. Not everyone gets sunburn that is exposed to sunlight, it totally depends on the skin type and the amount of exposure to sunlight. 1.) Baking Soda to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

Baking soda is alkaline in nature which helps to soothe skin and lower down the pain caused by blisters. It heals the sunburn in a fast manner. Baking soda is in use for centuries due to its effective and high healing powers of skin disorders. Pour some baking soda in your bath tub and relax in it for 5 to 10 minutes. Gently dry your body by soft cloth this will help you to get benefit from sunburn.

2.) Aloe Vera to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

To treat any kind of skin disorder the one remedy which strikes in our mind is Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has the anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It fights out the bacteria and infection and helps in soothing the skin caused by sunburn. Aloe Vera gel is easily available in any store. Apply the gel directly on your sunburn it will lower the inflammation, itchiness. If you have an Aloe Vera plant in your home. Then take fresh gel from it by peeling out the leaf. Applying fresh gel is more effective.


3.) Apple Cider Vinegar to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

Apple vinegar has properties of removing bacteria and lowering the inflammation. It is one of the best  remedies for any kind of skin disorder and not only for sunburn. Apple vinegar manages the pH of your body which destroys the blister breakouts of sunburn. Take a warm glass of water, mix 3 tablespoons apple vinegar and take it daily. The other way of using it is made a toner to apply to your sunburn. Mix the apple vinegar with water and spray every night on your sunburn before going to sleep. You can drink apple cider vinegar directly as a preventive measure.

4.) Drink Water and Fluids to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

Sunburn makes skin dry and the moisture of the skin gets evaporated. To get back all the nutrients, minerals, proteins in the skin it is necessary to drink water and lots of fluids. Drink 2 to 3 litres of water daily to moisturize your skin. Coconut water, lemon drink, fruit juice plays an integral role to soothe your skin from sunburn. If you are spending more time in the sun, then take a water bottle with you always.

5.) Witch Hazel to Soothe Skin from Sunburn

Witch hazel is used to soothe skin from sunburn because it contains a chemical called “Tannins”. Tannins cure the skin in a fast and effective manner. It removes dead skin cells, repairs damaged skin and lower down the swelling. It should be in liquid form. Take the extract from the bark or dried leaves by crushing into a fine powder. Mix the powder with water and apply to the sunburn. Rest it for 10 minutes and rinse it off.
