How to Get Rid of Pimples Fast

Pimples are a common skin condition, especially during puberty, and they can grow in any part of the body. They can appear on your face, back, arms, chest, shoulders, and buttocks. These nasty red bumps also have the habit of popping out at the most inopportune time. That is why everyone hates them because they are very annoying and they ruin not just your looks, but also your mood. Do you want to know how to get rid of pimples fast? There are a number of remedies that can quickly remove those pimples, but we have to know the very nature of these pimples first so we can understand how to eliminate them.

1. Lemon

Lemon juice has strong antibacterial and astringent properties that are perfect for treating pimples. It can eliminate those pimples by drying them up faster. Just make sure you are using fresh lemon juice and not the ones that are full of preservatives. Here is how you can make your own effective lemon remedy for pimples:  Apply the lemon juice directly to the affected area using a cotton swab. Do this at night before going to bed. Another way is to mix one teaspoon of cinnamon powder with one tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture to the affected area before you go to bed. In the morning, wash the skin with lukewarm water. This remedy is not recommended for people with sensitive skin.

2. Ice

Ice is effective in reducing the swelling, redness, and inflammation of the pimples. The coldness of the ice can tighten the pores and promote blood circulation in the area. You can also use ice in cleaning your face by removing excess oil and dirt from the skin. You can use either ice cubes or crushed ice, whichever you prefer. You can start by wrapping the ice in a piece of clean cloth. Hold the cold cloth directly on the affected skin area. Wait for a couple of minutes and repeat the process.

3. Toothpaste

Toothpaste is not only for cleaning your teeth, but it can also be used as one of the home remedies for pimples. Use white toothpaste and avoid the colored gels. This remedy is more effective if it is used after applying the ice remedy. If you are planning to use this toothpaste remedy, you can apply it in the evening before going to bed. You can rinse your face in the morning with water and you will notice that the redness and swelling have been reduced.

4. Garlic

Garlic is very potent as an antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic agent that can dry out and heal pimples. Garlic also contains sulfur, which helps in the healing process. Just follow these steps when using this type of remedy for your pimples: Get one garlic clove and slice it into two pieces. Rub the garlic directly on the affected area and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse off the garlic with lukewarm water. Repeat this remedy several times each day.

5. Baking Soda

Baking soda is used to exfoliate the skin, reduce inflammation, and clear up the blemishes. Exfoliating the skin using a baking soda can remove excess oils, dead skin cells, and dirt. It’s a great alternative for treating pimples because it is cheap and it does not contain any strong chemicals. Follow the steps below when making your own baking soda remedy:  Mix one teaspoon of baking soda with lemon juice or water. Stir until it becomes a thick paste. Clean your face and leave it slightly damp. Apply the baking soda paste to the pimples and let it dry for a few minutes. A word of caution, do not leave the baking soda on your skin for more than a few minutes because it can cause irritation and dryness. Rinse off using warm water. Use this remedy twice a day.
