How to Get Rid of Oily Skin on Face at Home





Oily skin is a very common beauty woe. Those who have oily skin their face appear shiny and the pores look really large.In summers, those with oily skin suffer the most as the sebaceous glands produces excess sebum. It makes the face look dull and tired. This oil and grime on the skin invites bacteria which in turn lead to whiteheads, blackheads, acne and other skin irritations.

Genetics, stress, hormonal changes in the bodyand diet often influences the production of this excess oil from the sebaceous glands. Teenagers have oily skin when their bodies are undergoing hormonal changes. Women are more prone to oily skin during menstrual cycles, pregnancy, menopause and when they are having birth control pills.

Now this excess oil is like an ‘unwelcomed guest’ to who you need to bid a quick adieu. So seal a deal with natural home remedies to give your skin the desired matte look. Here are some simple remedies that are easily available at your home-

1. Egg Whites:

Egg Whites are rich in vitamin A and it helps to tone and tighten up oily skin. Just whip one egg white until it turns stiff. Apply it on your face. Wash off with warm water. Follow this routine twice a week. Adding lemon juice to this egg white will help to tighten the skin and soak up excess oil. If you are using lemon juice along with egg whites then keep the paste on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse off.

2. Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice has anti-septic and astringent properties. It helps to restore pH balance of the skin. Lemon also aids in removing blemishes.Blend one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice with one and a half teaspoon of distilled water. Use a cotton ball to apply this solution. Keep it on your face for ten minutes and then rinse off. Apply an oil-free moisturizer since lemon juice can dry up skin. Follow this routine daily.
Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one and a half tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of honey. Apply this paste on your face and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. Do this daily to get results within a week.


3.Tomato:

Tomato works great for oily and acne-prone skin. It also has astringent properties and helps to clarify the skin. Just cut a tomato into half and rub it directly on your skin. Keep it for 15 minutes and rinse your face with cold water. Apply a light oil-free moisturizer.

4. Apples:

The malic acid in apples helps in exfoliating the dead skin cells and absorbs excess oil from the face. The anti-septic properties in apples also help to protect the skin from acne.

Here is the deal, just grate the apple and place the shreds on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash it off. You can also blend the grated apple with yogurt and lemon juice into a smooth paste. Apply and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water and pat dry. If you are short on time, then you can apply apple juice mixed with lemon juice, leave for 10 minutes and then wash it off.

5. Gram Flour:

Mix gram flour with rose water and make a smooth paste. Rub this gram flour mixture in a circular motion for 5 minutes. Let it dry on your face and then wash it off. The gram flour will soak the oil and make it less greasy.
